Did you know that the Library of Congress has a Flickr photo stream? They’ve been collecting photos since the early 1800’s and are putting these collections up on Flickr bit by bit. I have to give credit to my hubby for this find.

I’m loving the design of these 2 rings… now if only the top one was in yellow gold…

This shop has very cute, tiny felted (and some non-felted) creatures at a very reasonable price- perfect for baby showers!

This video is so awesome. Beautiful, strange and definitely labour intensive. I’ve posted some work by Blu before, but this takes the cake. I wonder how long it took to make this.

I forgot to mention that I started up my own Etsy shop, mostly for little vintage finds like sunglasses, jewelry, shoes, housewares, and kid stuff. Please feel free to check it out. You’ll have to forgive some of my photography!

This is a great little project by Michael Hughes, documented and posted on Flickr. Totally worth wasting 15 minutes of your Friday to look through these.

I really love this necklace by Lisa Levine and this wrap bracelet from Keerstin Wintrup (available here).

I must admit, I feel like when it comes to footwear I’m pretty boring- basic black flats, boots, and the occasional vintage party shoes. However, looking through Net-a-Porter today I fell in love with these two metallic designs (sandals by Chloe and booties by Marc Jacobs). A little flashy, but not too over-the-top.

I find the “Iraqi Casualty Series” by Francesca Pastine very compelling. She has blocked out with graphite all but bodies of the dead on pages of various copies of the New York Times – the final result is quite haunting
“Through this process, I hope to shake loose the shrugging indifference perpetrated through the disconnect of lived experience and disembodied information” -Francesca Pastine
