Flickr find: Superbomba
Um… I’m in love with Superbomba. She posts the best vintage photos. I genuinely don’t think there’s a bad photo in her photostream. Just varying degrees of good. I proudly admit to wasting lots of time looking at every single page of her photostream. Here’s a taste (and trust me, it’s hard to narrow down)…
Arg! Sniped.
So not to bite Andy’s style, but I just had to post about an Ebay auction that I lost..
A beautiful vintage pin from Expo ‘67, the 1967 World’s Fair in Montreal, where Buckminster Fuller erected a geodesic pavilion. I’m so bummed about losing this one! Paperat, you’re a lucky son-of-a-gun.
Sweet Outfit
I really love this outfit on designer Stine Goya from a photo taken at Copenhagen Fashion Week by Copenhagen Street Style. I love the top in particular, which is her design.
Simpleasures show
Yesterday we went to a zine show put on by Studio Number One. The show was like APE but with 1/4 the people showing (cutting out the folks who strictly draw lifelike renderings of naked ladies on dragons)… anyway we didn’t go with a lot of cash, so this is what we came away with. Mostly zines from Sumi Ink Club, and one from Forest. Overall a good show, albeit small.
Vintage 1920’s summer dress
This dress makes me wish I had Liz Goldwyn’s fortune and closets… this week I have been watching the BBC “House of Eliott” series which takes place in the 20’s (probably my favourite fashion era), and of course, despite the bad music and overacting, I just lust after all of the costumes.
Zachary Rossman show at Park Life
Just a heads up that our good friend Zach Rossman will be showing at Park Life in San Francisco next month (I believe this is his second show there). Not sure of dates/times yet, but if you will be in the Bay Area next month, check Zach’s site or the Park Life site for more info as posted…!
