Etsy find: Katy Horan
I really like Katy Horan’s work. I found her via her Etsy shop, although her site is more comprehensive. Her work seems to have lovely and undefined folkloric themes.
Vintage 1920’s summer dress
This dress makes me wish I had Liz Goldwyn’s fortune and closets… this week I have been watching the BBC “House of Eliott” series which takes place in the 20’s (probably my favourite fashion era), and of course, despite the bad music and overacting, I just lust after all of the costumes.
Folded
I just discovered Sarah’s Etsy shop, and this notebook made me think of…
…this ingenious felt travel pillow that is in the Hara Museum shop in Japan. Both very lovely.
Etsy find: Nathan Veach
ASCII art– images formed from letters and smbols from typwriters or computers… if that is unfamiliar to you, you may have had your eyes closed for the past 50-or-so years. I just found Nathan Veach’s Etsy shop, and was pleased to discover that he will create custom ASCII portraits for you the old school way- with a typewriter! Very reasonably priced too.
(also loving his Gocco animal cards, by the way)
Etsy find: Miss Crowland
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you’ll find that I really love silhouettes… in particular vintage ones, however, I love to find people who are making modern-day bespoke silhouettes as well. These are so well priced that they’re hard to pass up. Also, should mention that these would be a great wedding present to a new couple or a good anniversary present for an older couple.
